عندما يتحد الشباب في الجامعات حول العالم لدعم قضية عادلة، يمكن أن يحدث تغيير حقيقي. هذا ما يحدث حاليًا مع طلاب الجامعات الذين يقفون في تضامن قوي مع الشعب الفلسطيني.
في جامعة كولومبيا، شهدنا بداية هذا الطوفان التضامني والحقيقي، حيث قام طلابها بإطلاق حملة داعمة لفلسطين تجسدت في الاعتصامات والمسيرات والفعاليات الثقافية. ولكن لم يكتف الأمر بذلك، بل بدأت جامعات أخرى حول العالم تلتحق بهم في هذه الحملة النبيلة والمشرفة للقضية الفلسطينية.
ما يميز هذه الحملة هو أنها ليست مجرد وقفة سريعة أو تعبير فقط، بل هي جهود مستمرة ودائمة. فطلاب الجامعات يستمرون في الاعتصام والتظاهر، وينظمون الندوات والمحاضرات، ويعملون على زيادة الوعي والضغط الدولي لوقف العدوان والانتهاكات ضد الفلسطينيين.
إن مشاركة الجامعات في هذا الطوفان من التضامن مع فلسطين تمثل بصمة كبيرة في تاريخ النضال من أجل العدالة. فإذا استمر الشباب في هذه الجهود، فإننا قد نرى تحولًا حقيقيًا في المشهد السياسي والاجتماعي لصالح شعب فلسطين وللعالم بأسره.
When youth in universities around the world unite to support a just cause, real change can happen. This is what is currently happening with university students who stand in strong solidarity with the Palestinian people.
At Columbia University, we witnessed the beginning of this true and continuous solidarity wave, where its students launched a supportive campaign for Palestine embodied in sit-ins, marches, and cultural events. But it didn’t stop there; other universities around the world have begun to join them in this noble and commendable campaign for the Palestinian cause.
What distinguishes this campaign is that it is not just a quick stand or expression as we have seen before, but rather continuous and enduring efforts. University students continue to protest and demonstrate, organize seminars and lectures, and work to raise awareness and international pressure to stop aggression and violations against Palestinians.
The participation of universities in this flood of solidarity with Palestine represents a significant imprint in the history of the struggle for justice. If youth continue in these efforts, we may see a real transformation in the political and social landscape in favor of the Palestinian people and the world at large.
